Museum District vs. Montrose

MFAH and HMNS are ticketed museums on the METRORail Red Line. The Menil Collection and Rothko Chapel in Montrose do not charge general admission, though you'll need a short rideshare to reach them.

Street art and murals

Most large murals sit in East Downtown and along the edge of Downtown. An open-air electric cart tour covers more than 20 walls in two hours without a long walk in the heat.
